In February 2019, 6 of our students from Lam Soon Plantations’ Estate at Lahad Datu was awarded scholarship to further their studies to form 4 for 2019 school term. The award ceremony was held on 15 to 17 February 2019 at CLC Sungai Balung, Tawau.

Lam Soon Plantations started planting oil palms in 1984 in Lahad Datu , Sabah on its estate under country lease 115314059 Sabah. By 1995 we had fully developed the plantation and operating its own palm oil mill in 1997. We are a subsidiary company of Lam Soon (M) Berhad and our headquarters is in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor.

2017 : Lam Soon’s oil palm estates in Lahad Datu, Sabah and Muadzam Shah, Pahang have been certified by the Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Principles & Criteria. The RSPO certification comes under the Identity Preserved (IP) Supply Chain Model for the production of sustainable crude palm oil and palm kernel.
Lam Soon Plantations Sdn Bhd was nominated by the Sabah Government as MPOB – “Anugerah Industri Sawit Malaysia 2011/2012" to represent Lahad Datu district for the best maintained plantations labour force. The nomination reflects Lam Soon’s commitment to the wellbeing of its plantation work force.
